TELLURIDE, Colo. -- There was one film on everybody's lips today:
Juno, Jason Reitman's second feature. Hadn't heard of it before today. Apparently it's a whole lotta fun. Everyone loves it and is raving about Ellen Page's performance. I know nothing about the movie. Hope to see it tomorrow, the last day of the fest. I am so very tired.

the most fun i've had so far: discussing the subtext of margot at the wedding for 4 hours following the film. i mean, is claude really pauline's son? who is claud's father--dick maybe? margot and pauline's father? is claude actually retarded--because of incest? are all of the charcaters the same? do the neighbors actually exist? does margot sexually abuse her own child, if it is her child? does jack black's character have a secret sexual desire for claude? why is claude's androgeny so significant? what does the tree's collapse bring about for the entire family? what is becky's subtext?
we went on and on. there's a black bear outside my window. effing creeeeeepy.
The debate over Claude's parentage never occured to me until last night, when someone brought it up in conversation. That totally flew over my head. I guess it changes everything. Beware of bears.
I'm glad i found your blog, look forward to reading it.
P.S. you look just like Jack Nicholson.
Wow, 4 hours! I have read that MATW is pretty divisive and I loved that, and to warrant a discussion to boot then that's fantastc. I keep going to your blog, you should write a review.
